Pamela C. Tames, JD, is thrilled to join PLAN of MA and RI as Executive Director. Pam brings 20 years of experience developing and leading programs in the nonprofit, health, legal and human services sectors, serving vulnerable individuals and families. Pam has engaged in individual and policy advocacy, presented at professional conferences, and published several journal articles as well as a book chapter. Her compassionate promotion of and caring for the health and wellbeing of others – particularly people with disabilities – has defined her career. Pam aims to raise awareness of the services and care that PLAN provides, and to expand its reach among persons with disabilities.
Pam earned her JD from New York University School of Law, where she was Senior Staff Editor of the Annual Review of American Law and recipient of two public interest grants. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree, with Outstanding Academic Achievement, in Political Science, from Binghamton University. In 2011, Pam was named by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as one of the Top Women in Law.
Sally Miller, LICSW, ACSW, BCD, is a Service Coordinator and Supervisor. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers, and a Board Certified Diplomat in Social Work with over 35 years of experience working with disabled and geriatric populations. She has extensive knowledge of the elderly nursing home population and has provided consultation to skilled nursing facilities and hospitals. Throughout her career Sally has supervised social workers and students in various capacities and educated nursing home staff. She earned her Masters Degree from Boston University School of Social Work.
Kathy Vitello, LSW, is a Service Coordinator. She is a Licensed Social Worker with 35 years of experience working with the geriatric, disabled, and chronically ill populations. She has experience working in skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, rehabilitation, and psychiatric settings, as well as in home care and hospice. She has also earned a certificate in geriatric and mental health assessment.
John Scott, LSW, is a Service Coordinator. He is a Licensed Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working with the disabled and the elderly in skilled nursing facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. John also worked with Alzheimer Care Services in coaching, marketing and program development. His connection to PLAN dates back to 1991, when he served as a companion visitor. John is a graduate of Eastern Nazarene College.
Deirdre Madden, LICSW, is a Service Coordinator. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with over 20 years of experience working with families of all ages and abilities, with a focus on children and adolescents with developmental, physical, and mental health challenges. Deirdre has supervised BSW and MSW interns and provided peer supervision to collaterals. Throughout her career, Deirdre has enjoyed working and volunteering with a variety of social services agencies in Massachusetts. Deirdre earned her Masters of Social Work Degree from Wheelock College in Boston.
Greg Brogan is the Trust Operations Administrator. He earned a BA in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Boston. He gained experience with diverse populations by tutoring and travelling abroad in college, namely to South Africa through a university honors course where he trained with students from a local university to be an HIV/AIDS peer educator. He began his professional career by doing legislative and constituent work while interning for State Representative Sean Garballey. He is currently a Town Meeting member in his hometown of Arlington.
Lorraine Mackun joined PLAN of MA and RI in August 2014 as an Administrative Assistant. Lorraine provides administrative support in trust operations, finance, and service coordination. She is also responsible for welcoming all visitors and callers to PLAN.
Lindsay Brogan joined PLAN of MA and RI in January 2015 as a Data Entry Clerk. Lindsay is responsible for entering and categorizing all disbursement requests from trust participants. She also provides backup administrative support in trust operations, finance and service coordination. Lindsay earned a BA in Criminal Justice from Bridgewater State University.
